THERMOELECTRIC CONVERSION MODULE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric conversion module with high heat resistance.SOLUTION: A thermoelectric conversion module comprises: a pair of substrates opposed to each other; thermoelectric elements disposed between the pair of substrates; and a junction layer disposed between at least one of the pair of substrates and the thermoelectric elements. The junction layer includes gold and tin as its primary components and the content of the gold is 88 wt% or more. In the thermoelectric conversion module, the melting point of the junction layer joining between the substrate and the thermoelectric elements is higher than that of a gold-tin eutectic solder of which the gold content is about 80 wt%. The thermoelectric conversion module offers a heat resistance higher than that achieved by a thermoelectric conversion module in which the gold-tin eutectic solder is used for the junction layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
