PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of achieving excellent auto-focus by using image data obtained by performing compression processing and such, a control method of the same, and a computer program.SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: a compression section for performing compression processing for image data; an expansion section for performing expansion processing for the image data obtained by performing compression processing on the basis of a coding parameter when performing compression processing for the image data; and a processing section for performing auto-focusing processing on the basis of the image data obtained by performing the expansion processing and adaptively performing the auto-focusing processing on the basis of the coding parameter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
