PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection device and a liquid ejection method capable of suppressing the quality degradation of an object formed by ejection of liquid.SOLUTION: A liquid ejection device comprises: a data output control unit for outputting control data SI, selection data SPr, and second data matching first data before a drive signal generation unit outputs a drive signal COM, wherein the first data is at least one of the control data SI and the selection data SPr; an error check unit for determining whether or not the first data matches the second data in the data input from the data output control unit; and an ejection control unit which, if the determination result is yes, controls the application and non-application of a waveform to a drive element 62 on the basis of the control data SI and selection data SPr; if the determination result is no, controls the application and non-application of a waveform to the drive element 62 on the basis of the control data SI and non-ejection selection data SPx which indicates non-ejection of a liquid by application or non-application of each waveform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
