PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the picture quality from being adversely affected by PG.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a print control unit which performs printing by controlling a print head that includes plural nozzle strings, each having plural nozzles arranged in a predetermined nozzle string direction, the print control unit comprising a control section controlling the print head in which the plural nozzle strings ejecting inks of the same kind are arranged offset from each other in the nozzle string direction. The control section is executable after selection at least between a first print mode in which printing is performed with a PG, or a distance from a platen for supporting a print medium receiving the ejection of the ink to the print head, specified as a first PG and a second print mode in which the PG set narrower than the first PG is specified as a second PG. The control section reduces the number of nozzle strings used for ejecting the ink in the first print mode, compared with the number of nozzle strings used for ejecting the ink in the second print mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
