PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radiation-curable gels useful for cosmetic adornment of natural nails, artificial fingernails and toenails, and artificial nail extensions.SOLUTION: The invention provides a composition containing (A) at least 35% by weight of oligomer containing at least one free radical polymer, (B) at least 0.1% by weight of a pigment, (C) at least 0.5% by weight of thixotropic additives, (D) 0 to 20% by weight of a refractory solvent, (E) 0 to 20% by weight or less of film-forming polymer, (F) a photoinitiator, (G) 0 to 5% by weight of a dispersant, and (H) a reactive ethylenic unsaturated monomer with such a balance as to be 100% by weight in all, wherein the high shear viscosity measured at a shear rate of 70/sec in 25°C is less than 30 poises; the composition being a UV curable gel suitable for coating natural nails and artificial nails and for forming abrasion-resistant coating adornment.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
