PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which consumes less power.SOLUTION: An optical resonance board is used for a backlight unit of a display device. The optical resonance board can extract light in an arbitrary wavelength region from incident white light to eject it. The optical resonance board does not perform the generation of colored light by absorption, and remaining components which are not ejected from the optical resonance board among the incident white light are reused. The optical resonance board can eject, for example, red light, green light, and blue light respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
