PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processing apparatus and a paper sheet processing method capable of changing a storage location inside a cabinet according to a state of a paper sheet put inside the cabinet, capable of preventing paper sheets of various states from being mixed, and enabling an operator to efficiently perform post processing.SOLUTION: A paper sheet processing apparatus 500 has a cabinet. The cabinet includes: an input part 10 for putting a paper sheet inside a cabinet; a plurality of storage parts 40, 42 for storing the paper sheet; and paper sheet state receiving means 92 for receiving information on a state of the paper sheet. According to information on the state of the paper sheet received at the paper sheet state receiving means 92, paper sheets put inside the cabinet through the input part 10 are sorted for the storage parts 40, 42, respectively, and stored thereat. |
