The present invention relates to an input device, a display device, and methods for controlling the input device and the display device. The input device for a display device comprises: a user input unit which receives input of a user; a communication unit which communicates with a display device; a drive unit which provides driving force for movement of the input device; and at least one processor which controls the drive unit to move the input device to a preset location corresponding to a location of the user in response to a preset event so that the user can take and use the input device. Accordingly, the movable input device can approach a user by itself and can interact with the user in a user-friendly manner, thereby improving convenience of the user.
