PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine 1 for improving its startability and stabilizing its operating condition independently of operation environments and usage behaviors.SOLUTION: The engine 1 relating to the first embodiment of this invention includes control means for calculating a reference injection timing ITs on the basis of a target revolving speed Nt of the engine 1 and a reference injection amount Qs as a fuel injection amount, and correcting the reference injection timing ITs using at least one correction amount. Herein, a fuel injection control unit 17 calculates a cooling water correction amount Wc on the basis of the target revolving speed Nt of the engine 1, the reference injection amount Qs, and a cooling water temperature Tm, and corrects the reference injection timing ITs using only the cooling water correction amount Wc when the cooling water temperature Tm is lower than a first predetermined temperature Tm1. |
