Control method in a power converter to ensure the detectability of a short-circuit

The method involves determining a correction to be applied to voltage impulse in order to obtain corrected voltage impulses (P1, P2), where each of the corrected voltage impulse is duration greater than the voltage impulse and greater than a threshold value (WTH) of detectability of short-circuit between output phases. The corrected voltage impulse is determined by a modulation control of width of impulse in which a carrier is compared with set point voltages. A correction value to be applied to each set point voltage is determined. An independent claim is also included for a power converter.
