MESSAGING SERVICE SYSTEM FOR LOCATION BASED BY MULTI USERS AND METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a location-based messaging service system for multiple users and a method thereof. The location-based messaging service system uses a location information providing function of a mobile terminal to sense a change in the direction and distance of a counterpart in an online chat to easily locate the counterpart. The location-based messaging service system includes a navigation server which receives current location information of active and passive client terminals, receives reference location information selected and input from the active client terminal, and transmits the direction information and distance information regarding the distance from the passive client terminal to a reference location to the active client terminal on a real-time basis. According to the present invention, the location-based messaging service system uses a location information providing function of the global positioning system (GPS) and a geomagnetic sensor (COMPASS) mounted on the mobile terminal to display the relative direction and distance of the counterpart in an online chat with respect to the selected reference location, thereby easily locating the counterpart and enhancing user convenience.
