The gas and steam turbine plant (1) has a fuel pre-heating device (16) upstream to burners of a gas turbine (2), where a waste heat steam generator (20) is provided on an exhaust gas side downstream to the gas turbine. The steam turbine comprises a number of compression stages, where a steam pipe (60) connects a steam outlet lying between two compression stages with a steam drum assigned to one fuel pre-heating device. An independent claim is included for a method for starting a gas and steam turbine plant.
