PURPOSE:To provide a tray stacker apparatus which makes the performance of manual operations unnecessary and therefore is improved in the operation efficiency and safety, by providing a cylinder section for positioning a tray, a lifter section for lifting the tray, and a clamping section for clamping the tray so as to enable performance of the tray stacking via a series of operations. CONSTITUTION:When a tray T carried on by a belt conveyor 4a is stopped at a predetermined position by a stopper 4b, a cylinder section 1 composed of paired cylinders set at both sides of the belt conveyor 4a makes its expansion operation to thereby position the tray T, and makes its return operation. The tray T as positioned is lifted up to a prescribed position by a lifter section 2 located thereunder. The lifted tray T is clamped, through extension of clamp sections 3, by the clamp sections 3. When the tray T has been clamped, the lifter section 2 is lowered down to the original position, whereby the next tray is carried up to the stopper 4b. When the number of trays reaches a predetermined number of stacked trays through performance of the mentioned operations, the stacked trays are lowered and are carried to a next step along the belt conveyor 4a. |
