PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the forefinger or the thumb of a right hand from being injured by an edge portion of a handle arm, even when a handle knob is grasped by the palm of the right hand while gripping the left side face of a fishing reel by the left hand, and the thumb of the right hand is disposed above a handle knob support shaft part connecting the handle knob to the handle arm, and the forefinger of the right hand is disposed below the handle knob support shaft, and a handle is rotated to cause the forefinger or the thumb of the right hand to be moved to the handle arm side.SOLUTION: In order to prevent the forefinger and the thumb of a right hand from being moved to the handle arm side, an annular finger movement blocking part expanded to a size always projecting to the outer side of the tip of a handle arm during fishing line winding rotation is formed in the outer circumference of a portion close to the handle arm of a handle knob support shaft part.
