PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the deterioration of combustion at a start of electricity-carrying to a step motor, in an internal combustion engine having an EGR valve device which controls an EGR gas amount by carrying electricity to the step motor.SOLUTION: An EGR valve control device is employed to an engine having an EGR valve device which controls an EGR gas amount by carrying electricity to a step motor. During a stop of an engine, the electricity-carrying to the step motor is cut, and on the other hand, at a start of the introduction of an EGR gas, the electricity-carrying to the step motor is started. When a time tr after the recovery of the electricity-carrying being a lapse time after the start of the electricity-carrying to the step motor is short, an EGR opening correction amount Dis increased compared with the case that the time tr after the recovery of the electricity-carrying is long, and an EGR opening is reduced by an amount of the EGR opening correction amount D, thus decreasing and correcting the EGR gas amount. |
