The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for providing beacon-based payment service in a beacon service system. An apparatus for providing beacon-based payment service in a beacon service system according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a beacon module which transmits a beacon signal; an input module which receives a user input for triggering of beacon-based payment service; and a POS control unit which, when an event for the start of the beacon-based payment service occurs, identifies preset strength of a beacon signal, transmits a beacon signal at the identified strength via the beacon module, detects whether a user terminal has been connected to content regarding the transmitted beacon signal, and controls the transmitted beacon signal to have strength increased by a predetermined value and be retransmitted via the beacon module when the user terminal has not been connected to the content. |
