摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thin glass for a solar cell or a display having practical strength and having both an antiglare function and a reflection reducing function.SOLUTION: In a method of producing the glass for a solar cell or a display, an etching process, an adhering object removing process, and a reinforcing process are carried out. In the etching process, an etchant containing hydrofluoric acid and fluoride such as potassium fluoride is brought into contact with the surface of a glass plate including silicon oxide and having thickness of 0.1-1.5 mm to erode the surface of the glass plate while depositing a silicofluoride salt for forming a rugged shape on the surface. In the adhering object removing process, the silicofluoride salt adhering to the surface of the glass plate is removed. In the reinforcing process carried out after the adhering object removing process, the glass plate is subjected to chemical reinforcing treatment.
