An impeller for a centrifugal pump is provided with a single blade with a winding angle set to less than 360°. When the winding angle at the leading edge of the single blade is defined as 0 and the winding angle at the trailing edge thereof is defined as 1, the increment of the radius from the center of the impeller of the acting face of the single blade with respect to an increase in the winding angle of the single blade becomes a negative value within a predetermined winding angle range, and the increment of the radius from the center of the impeller of the mean line of the single blade with respect to the increase in the winding angle of the single blade becomes a negative value within the predetermined winging angle range. |
