The present invention relates to a system for monitoring a battery cell, which monitors a plurality of battery cells connected in series to each other. The system according to the present invention includes: a plurality of cell balancing devices which collect voltages and temperatures from a plurality of battery cells and perform a balancing operation according to an applied control signal; and an information collection control device which extracts a faulty battery cell using an average voltage of the plurality of collected voltages and the plurality of temperatures, and separates the extracted faulty battery cell from the plurality of battery cells. The present invention may perform an effective balancing operation between the plurality of battery cells by monitoring the plurality of battery cells constituting a battery, thereby expanding the lifespan of a battery and efficiently managing the battery.
