PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make rotation of a motor stop as immediately as possible when a drive controller for the motor is disconnected from a power supply, and make the rotation of the motor continue to rotate by inertial force when the drive controller for the motor is switched off without being disconnected from the power supply.SOLUTION: A drive controller 1 for a motor 20 comprises: an inverter circuit 2 which receives power supply from a DC power supply Vd and energizes a plurality of armature coils of the motor 20; a predrive circuit 3 for outputting a drive signal to the inverter circuit 2; and a control circuit unit 5 which outputs a drive control signal C1 to the predrive circuit 3 when predetermined power supply from the DC power supply Vd is detected, and outputs the drive control signal C1 or a short-cut brake signal C2 to the predrive circuit 3 when the predetermined power supply from the DC power supply Vd has not been detected, where the drive control signal C1 or the short-cut brake signal C2 is selected on the basis of a drop amount of power supply voltage Vcc after the non-detection. |
