The invention is directed to systems, methods and computer program products for forming a mobile cell in a network. An exemplary method comprises: first determining a first node of the network is within a predetermined distance of a second node of the network; second determining the first node's movement pattern is substantially similar to the second node's movement pattern; forming a mobile cell comprising the first node and the second node based on the first determining and second determining steps; and selecting the first node as a base station for the mobile cell. |
