PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air compressor whose capacity can be increased/decreased safely and easily according to work content, for reducing useless compression operation to achieve power-saving and extended durable years.SOLUTION: In an air compressor including a plurality of tanks 20 for storing therein compressed air generated by a compression mechanism 11, the plurality of tanks 20 is provided with a main tank 21 always connected and communicated with the compression mechanism 11, and a sub tank 22 connected and communicated with the main tank 21 via a connection pipe line 25 provided with an open/close means 16 in an openable/closable manner. |
