PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for more prompt prediction of a potential at which hydrogen penetrates into a metal structure in an environment where the metal structure is used.SOLUTION: Cathode polarization measurement is performed by using an electrolyte aqueous solution having hydrogen ion concentration corresponding to an environment in which a target metal member is used, in a step S101. In a step S102, a part indicating water reductive reaction in a polarization curve of the metal member acquired in the cathode polarization measurement is approached to a linear line, and the relationship between potential indicated by the approached linear line and hydrogen generation current density is obtained. In a step S103, by an electrochemical hydrogen transmission method, hydrogen transmission current density of the metal member by preset potential at which hydrogen penetrates into the metal member is obtained. In a step S104, the hydrogen transmission current density obtained in the step S103 is divided by the hydrogen generation current density corresponding to the potential at which hydrogen penetrates into the metal member and which is used in the step S103 in the relationship indicated by the approached linear line, thereby obtaining hydrogen entry efficiency. |
