摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration apparatus capable of performing accurate refrigerant leakage detection by precisely measuring the amount of a refrigerant in a refrigerant circuit, at a low cost as far as possible.SOLUTION: A refrigeration apparatus includes a refrigerant amount determination device 26 having a refrigerant circuit 41 constituted of a compressor 36, a condenser 37, an expansion valve 38, and an evaporator 39. The refrigerant amount determination device has a cascade heat exchanger 49 which makes the evaporator exchange heat with a refrigerant having exited from the condenser, a receiver tank 42 connected downstream from the cascade heat exchanger and upstream from the expansion valve 11, a solenoid valve 50 connected to a refrigerant outlet of the receiver tank, and a liquid level sensor 48 detecting the amount of the refrigerant in the receiver tank. Control means C closes the solenoid valve 50 and places compressors 6 and 36 in operation so as to collect the refrigerant in the receiver tank. The liquid level sensor measures the amount of the refrigerant in the receiver tank, and determines refrigerant leakage from the refrigerant circuit.
