Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an apparatus and a method for managing data of an electronic device having a communication module. The method includes: receiving data from the outside of the electronic device; allowing a communication module to check the received data and a filtering condition; determining whether the received data is transmitted based on the filtering condition; and allowing the communication module to transmit the data received by the inside of the electronic device when it is matched to the filtering condition. Besides, other embodiments can be realized. So, a time for keeping a slip mode can be extended.
