The present invention relates to an electronic device comprising a camera module, which can acquire a long-exposure image and a short-exposure image in real time by using a combination of long-exposure pixels and short-exposure pixels alternately arranged on an image sensor of a camera module, and which can acquire a high dynamic range (HDR) image in real time by performing image processing, and also relates to an image processing method for the electronic device. The image processing method for an electronic device comprising a camera module may comprise the operations of: acquiring a first image having first exposure time by using a first pixel group; acquiring a second image having second exposure time shorter than the first exposure time by using a second pixel group; determining whether a difference between the first exposure time and the second exposure time is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value; acquiring a third image having third exposure time by using the second pixel group when the difference between the first exposure time and the second exposure time is determined to be equal to or greater than the threshold value; and generating an HDR image by composing the first to third images together.
