A dual frequency HF-UHF identification device (42) comprises an RFID integrated circuit including a power supply unit having an HF portion (44) formed by an HF rectifier (12) connected to an HF antenna and a UHF portion (48) formed by a UHF rectifier (18) connected to a UHF antenna. The RFID integrated circuit includes a storage capacitor (50) common to the HF and UHF portions of the power supply unit. An output of the HF rectifier and an output of the UHF rectifier are both continuously connected to a supply terminal of the common storage capacitor. In addition, the supply terminal of the common storage capacitor is connected, on the one hand, to the output of the HF rectifier through a diode (52) arranged to block current from the supply terminal to the HF rectifier output and, on the other hand, directly to the output of the UHF rectifier formed by a charge pump. The dual frequency HF-UHF identification device of the present invention can provide an integrated circuit with a simple and efficient power supply arrangement. |
