PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for tamping ballast for performing track maintenance work of a crushed stone orbit, and for embedding reinforcement blocks or large crushed stones under a sleeper tie by using a tie tamper.SOLUTION: The tool for tamping ballast configured to be mounted on a tie tamper for performing the track maintenance work of a crushed stone orbit by adding vibration to the crushed stones of the crushed stone orbit includes: a plate-like tool body; and a reinforcement block holding part formed at one end of the tool body. The tool body is provided with a flexural part such that the reinforcement block holding part is inclined against the extended direction of the tool body. |
