PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress overshoot of a temperature of a heating rotating body such as a fixing belt generated when the heating rotating body temporarily rotates in a standby state.SOLUTION: A control unit performs normal standby control to maintain a temperature of a fixing belt within a target standby temperature range while stopping the rotation of the fixing belt in a standby state, and determines whether or not special standby control transition conditions including a condition that the fixing belt rotates during the normal standby control are satisfied. When the special standby control transition conditions are not satisfied, the control unit continues the normal standby control, and when the special standby control transition conditions are satisfied, performs special standby control to heat the fixing belt, when a predetermined heating end timing has come, to end the heating of the fixing belt regardless of whether the temperature of the fixing belt is within the target standby temperature range or not, and not to heat the fixing belt until an arrival of a predetermined non-heating end timing. |
