PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress damage to an automatic transmission caused by a reaction force which is generated at the engagement of a dog clutch, in the automatic transmission having the dog clutch.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission having a dog clutch comprises: a first input gear 23 (clutch ring) rotatably pivoted to a rotating shaft 22b and rotatably connected to an output shaft 28; a clutch hub 25 fixed to the rotating shaft 22b while adjoining the first input gear 23; a sleeve 26 movably geared with the clutch hub 25 along an axial line direction; a shaft drive mechanism 27 for reciprocating the sleeve 26 along the axial line direction; and a dog clutch part 23a which is arranged at the first input gear 23 while protruding to the side of the sleeve 26, and detachably geared with a spline 26a formed at the sleeve 26 according to the axial movement of the sleeve 26. The shaft drive mechanism 27 is constituted to permit the movement of the sleeve 26 by a reaction force when the reaction force is applied from the first input gear 23 when the sleeve 26 is engaged with the first input gear 23 by elastically being energized. |
