[Class 36] A radio-shielded conduit for electric conductors consists of a flexible rubber or like tube 1 with a braided metal cover 2, the tube being stiffened by spaced concentric rings 4 within the cover and either inside or outside the tube, or both inside and outside. The rings may be of synthetic resin or metal, and in the latter case may be soldered to the cover 2. The tube 1 may also be reinforced by a tube 8 woven from paper ropes or strands and impregnated with varnish. The cover 2 at its ends is wired to the tube 1 or wired or soldered to the end fittings . The ends of the tube 1 may be secured to the end fittings by split rings or by reflexing the ends of the tube.</p> |
