The present invention relates to a method for controlling operation of a swirl control valve for a diesel engine, capable of predicting the internal temperature of a swirl control valve for a diesel engine and limiting a motor duty ratio of the swirl control valve based on the predicted temperature. That is, the purpose of the present invention is to provide the method for controlling operation of a swirl control valve for a diesel engine, capable of predicting the internal temperature of the swirl control valve (the temperature of a motor coil) in real-time through modeling and controlling the motor duty ratio of the swirl control valve to prevent the predicted temperature from reaching the maximum temperature of a coil where the swirl control valve can endure without damage to the swirl control valve. |
