PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle engine ignition controller capable of appropriately switching ignition timing tables while preventing the occurrence of knocking.SOLUTION: An ignition controller of a vehicle engine E including a V-belt continuously variable transmission TM and a centrifugal clutch CL in a driving system, comprises: engine-load-factor estimation means 30 estimating a load factor LR of the engine E based on a fluctuation &Dgr;ω in a crank angular velocity of a crankshaft 1 of the engine E; ignition-timing calculation means 60 calculating ignition timing based on an advance position table 61 or a retard position table 62 selected in response to the load factor LR; centrifugal-clutch-connection-state determination means 40 determining a connection state of the centrifugal clutch CL; and ignition-timing correction means 52 correcting the ignition timing to be advanced by applying the advance position table 61 in response to the determination that the centrifugal clutch CL is not connected even if the retard position table 62 is selected in response to the load factor LR. |
