PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately switch a wavelength by detecting or predicting congestion of traffic passing an OSU 12 in a dynamic wavelength band allocation method for allocating a wavelength to a subscriber device in response to a request from the subscriber device at an interval of a predetermined wavelength switching cycle in an optical subscriber system where a plurality of subscriber devices and a single station-side device are connected by PON topology.SOLUTION: In accordance with the dynamic wavelength band allocation method, in the case where signal discarding is incurred in an uplink signal by congestion in any one of ONU 92 issuing requests, a wavelength different from a wavelength being used is allocated among available wavelengths and when signal discarding is incurred in a downlink signal by congestion, a wavelength different from a wavelength being used is allocated among the available wavelengths. |
