PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further enhance corrosion resistance and slag infiltration resistance of a monolithic refractory using spinel-containing alumina cement, and to reduce the development of cracks and peeling.SOLUTION: A monolithic refractory contains 0.5 to 2.5 mass% of CaO in an alumina cement and 3.5 to 10.5 mass% of a spinel in a spinel-containing alumina cement based on 100 mass% of a refractory raw material containing at least spinel-containing alumina cement as the alumina cement and having a particle size of 8 mm or less. |
