摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control device capable of avoiding the risk of an accidental fire while suppressing irregularity in a deceleration feeling given to a driver during deceleration of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An ECU 10 controlling operation of a diesel engine 50 serving as an internal combustion engine calculates a supply amount of EGR gas supplied to the engine 50 during deceleration of the engine 50, and calculates an intake air O2 amount in a combustion chamber 511 on the basis of the supply amount of the EGR gas, an exhaust gas O2 concentration, the amount of fresh air passing through a throttle 34, and an O2 concentration of the fresh air. The ECU 10 calculates an injection amount (an accidental fire avoidance injection amount) capable of avoiding an accidental fire on the basis of the intake air O2 amount, and determines whether there is a risk of the accidental fire on the basis of comparison of the accidental fire avoidance injection amount with an instructed injection amount. If the instructed injection amount is larger than the accidental fire avoidance injection amount, the ECU 10 determines that there is the risk of the accidental fire, corrects the instructed injection amount to reduce the instructed injection amount so as to be equal to the accidental fire avoidance injection amount, and corrects a throttle opening to have a greater opening so as to compensate for an output reduction amount due to the reduction correction.
