PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass composition for forming a protective film, which can be fired at a low temperature of 600°C or lower, and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: The glass composition for forming a protective film according to the present invention contains at least glass frit and an organic vehicle, and is applied on a base and fired to form a protective film with a film thickness of 50 μm or less on the base. The glass frit contains, as essential components, tellurium oxide as a network forming component and boron oxide. The content of the tellurium oxide is 55 mol% or more, the content of the boron oxide is 25 mol% or less, and the softening point of the glass frit is 500°C or lower. |
