PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which facilitates insertion of lead wires into through-holes of an elastic member and makes it difficult for core wires at the tip of the lead wires to be frayed while inserting, and which offers improved productivity and electrical reliability.SOLUTION: A gas sensor 200 includes: a gas sensor element 10; connection terminals 30 electrically connected with the gas sensor element; lead wires 146 electrically connected with the connection terminals; and an elastic member 150 which is located on a rear-end side of the connection terminals and has through-holes 161 formed therethrough for inserting the lead wires. Each of the connection terminals includes an element connection section 31 connected directly or indirectly with the gas sensor element and a lead wire connection section 35 connected directly or indirectly with a tip of the lead wire, which are coupled with each other with a front-end side of the lead wire connection section overlapping with a rear-end side of the element connection section. An inner diameter of the through-holes is no less than a maximum length in a cross-section of the lead wire connection section perpendicular to an axial direction thereof, and is less than a maximum length in a cross-section of the element connection section perpendicular to an axial direction thereof and a diameter HL of the lead wires. |
