The invention relates to a homogenized compact composite, to a method for producing the homogenized compact composite, and to the use of the homogenized compact composite. By grinding a starting composite material made of a collagen matrix mineralized with silicate and/or calcium phosphate phases, a compactible composite powder of defined size distribution is first obtained, containing particles made of individual collagen or collagen present as an agglomerate, said collagen being irregularly mineralized with silicate and/or a calcium phosphate phase. By pressing said composite powder at room temperature and low pressures, a homogeneous compact composite having a low-defect microstructure and a certain shape and size is produced.
