The invention proposes a clutch apparatus (10) for a motor vehicle (36), which clutch apparatus has a manually operable clutch pedal (12) for controlling the clutch apparatus (10), a clutch actuator (18) for operating a clutch (20) in a drive train (22) of the motor vehicle (36), and a detection apparatus (14) for detecting a pedal position of the clutch pedal (12). The clutch apparatus (10) further has a control device (16) which is designed to instruct the clutch actuator (18) to operate the clutch (20) in accordance with the pedal position, wherein the detection apparatus (14) is designed to detect the pedal position in at most two discrete positions (24b, 24c). |
