FORMED AMORPHOUS REFRACTORY AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a formed amorphous refractory material free from the danger of bursting even under severe condition and to provide a process for producing the material. CONSTITUTION:For example, a formed amorphous refractory material for rotary kiln is produced from a low-cement dense castable refractory in the form of block having a water-content of <=1.2wt.%. The experiment conducted by the present inventor revealed that the critical water-content to suppress the generation of burst was <=1.2wt.%. The water-content of a formed refractory dried at 400-800 deg.C is surely suppressed to <=1.2wt.% even if water-absorption takes place after forming.
