摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for continuous water treatment using a difference in water level, which is configured to enable treatment target water to be transferred by using a difference in water level, and which is also configured to control flow rate of treatment target water to be finally discharged by using a difference in height between a water level of the foremost reactor and an outlet of the hindmost reactor, thereby enabling residence time in each reactor to be selectively controlled. According to the present invention, provided is the apparatus for continuous water treatment using a difference in water level, the apparatus comprising: a plurality of reactors which are adjacently and sequentially disposed; a water transfer conduit which is provided between a fore reactor and a hind reactor and transfers treatment target water; a water transfer conduit exhaust vent which is provided in one side of the water transfer conduit; a reactor exhaust vent which is provided in a top of each of the reactors; and a treated water outlet which is provided in one side of the hindmost reactor and discharges treated water; wherein, in connection with the adjacent fore reactor and hind reactor, the highest water level of the hind reactor is lower than the lowest water level of the fore reactor, treatment target water is transferable to the hind reactor via gravity drop based on a difference in water level, flow rate (Q) of the treated water discharged via the treated water outlet is represented by equation: Q = a h, wherein Q is the flow rate of the treated water discharged via the treated water outlet, a is a water discharge coefficient, and h is a difference in height between a water level of the foremost reactor and an outlet of the hindmost reactor, and the flow rate of the treated water discharged via the treated water outlet is controllable via control of the water level of the foremost reactor.
