The present invention relates to a digital broadcast channel system utilizing a coaxial cable and a method using the digital broadcast channel system, which are configured to provide a digital broadcast channel service commonly provided to a plurality of televisions receiving a broadcast through an identical coaxial cable. A digital broadcast to be provided to a plurality of televisions is transmitted to a coupler to which broadcast video is input through a coaxial cable. A cable broadcast channel transmitted by a local broadcasting station and provided to a plurality of televisions through a coaxial cable can be blocked via a filter, or a digital television channel can be ensured based on frequency information of cable broadcasting. According to the present invention, content related to a region, in which a broadcast is received through an identical coaxial cable, can be programmed, and thus a digital television service including localized content can be provided. |
