An inverter is disclosed. According to the present invention, as an inverter for providing a load-adaptive boost voltage and driving an induction motor, the inverter comprises: a command voltage determination unit for determining a command voltage according to a command frequency based on a predetermined voltage-frequency relation; an inverter unit for driving the induction motor according to the command voltage; and an automatic torque boost voltage operation unit for determining an automatic torque boost voltage value according to a size of an output current to the induction motor in the inverter. The command voltage determination unit outputs a final command voltage by additionally adding a preset manual boost voltage value and the automatic torque boost voltage value to the command voltage. |
