The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for appraising an item. For this, the method for appraising an item includes a step of loading the photographed image of the item; a step of extracting a comparison object image included in the photographed image, by analyzing the photographed image; and a step of determining whether the item is genuine based on a matching rate between a reference image to the item and the comparison object image.
