PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection element capable of reliably cutting off a current path.SOLUTION: A fuse 1 comprises: a printed circuit board 10; wiring patterns 11 and 12; and a solder alloy 13. The wiring patterns 11 and 12 are not connected with each other and are formed on a surface of the printed circuit board 10. The solder alloy 13 provides electrical continuity between the wiring pattern 11 and the wiring pattern 12 and melts at a predetermined temperature. An epoxy resin 14 for sealing the wiring patterns 11 and 12 and the solder alloy 13 is formed on a surface of the printed circuit board 10. A copper foil 15 is formed on a surface of the epoxy resin 14. Through holes 14A and 15A constituting a jet hole for leading a melted portion of the melted solder alloy 13 outside the epoxy resin 14 are formed through the epoxy resin 14 and the copper foil 15. |
