Drilling device and method for producing a borehole

The device (10) has a drilling tool (40) driven in a rotating manner for removing ground material, and a container (20) receiving the removed ground material. The container has a lower feed opening introducing the removed ground material into the container. The drilling tool has a drill flight (46) arranged below the container. An inlet section (52) is provided in an inlet area to the container between the drill flight and the feed opening, where a pitch of the inlet section is increased with respect to a pitch of the drill flight. The drilling tool is designed as a conical tapered auger. The container is designed as a drilling bucket. The drill flight is designed as a multiple helix i.e. double helix. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a borehole in the ground.
