The present invention relates to a projector-camera-based space sharing system which can virtually share a local space and a long-distance space. According to an embodiment of the present invention the projector-camera-based space sharing system comprises: a projector for projecting a long-distance image in a local work space; a camera for capturing an image of the local work space; a storage unit for storing color data of the local work space; and a control unit for supplying long-distance image data supplied by passing through a communication network to the projector, and removing the long-distance image in a combined image captured in the camera by using information on the color data. The projector-camera-based sharing system and method can remove a visual eco when virtually sharing the local space and the long-distance space.
