PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which has a hard coat layer on an obliquely stretched film, is excellent in flexibility after an endurance test and in adhesion between the film and the hard coat layer, to provide an image display device which uses the optical film, and is excellent in visibility and contrast, to provide a stereoscopic image display device in which crosstalk is remedied, and to provide an image display device including a touch panel excellent against being scratched or peeling of a surface due to sliding of a pen at the time of an input.SOLUTION: The optical film has a hard coat layer including an active ray curable resin on an obliquely stretched film formed by stretching a film composed of a thermoplastic resin in a direction oblique to a longitudinal direction of the film. The hard coat layer has irregular projection shapes having no periodicity in the longitudinal direction, and the hard coat layer does not substantially include fine particles and resin being incompatible with the active ray curable resin. |
