PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover conjugated diene in high yield from the produced gas, which is obtained by an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction of a gaseous raw material containing monoolefin having 4 or more carbon atoms with a molecular oxygen-containing gas in the presence of a catalyst and contains conjugated diene, by removing aldehydes being by-products efficiently by an industrially-advantageous method.SOLUTION: The conjugated diene-containing produced gas is absorbed in an organic solvent A to obtain a conjugated diene-containing solution B. The conjugated diene-containing solution B is distilled and separated into the organic solvent A containing the aldehydes and the acetaldehyde-containing conjugated diene D. The aldehydes are distilled and separated from the distilled/separated organic solvent A containing the aldehydes. Meanwhile, the acetaldehyde-containing conjugated diene D is brought into contact with another solvent C in which the infinite dilution activity coefficient γof acetaldehyde is 6.0 or lower at 25°C so that the acetaldehyde in the conjugated diene D is removed by solvent absorption. |
